GymPro Meets Paradise Studios
For all the encouraging messages we've seen and received over pretty much the last 12 months. At GymPro, we understand how hard it can be to remain positive and self motivated during this crisis we all find ourselves in.
Even more so, with this in mind, keeping our children and younger members of the family active has been just as, if not more, challenging. We also understand the mental side to our children’s health plays a pivotal role in their ability to function and become a positive member of society.
With the ever present addictive nature and dangers of mobile devices, tablets and staying connected to their friends on social media. It truly has never been so important.
This month we met up with Ellise Locke, Owner and founder of Paradise Dance Studios. Ellise carried out a lot of her training and professional career in USA. Performing on the biggest stages before injury cut her career short and her passions led her into teaching.
Paradise Studios is a brand new dance complex in Hednesford, Cannock - West Midlands. The dance school was originally established in January 2019 by principal Ellise Locke before opening the doors to the complex in September 2020, Bringing the best techniques, styles and teaching methods fresh from Los Angeles California, USA.
Whether you’re looking for fun classes, extra fitness or to hone in on your passion, Paradise has something for you. Specialising in competitive styles and Commercial, you really do get the best of both worlds. Whilst not ignoring your more traditional technical skills. Paradise offers so much more than your regular dance school including fun days out, holiday dance camps, shows, competitions and a real sense of family.
“Ellise's passion for teaching is equally as huge as her passion for performing which makes Paradise a special movement to be a part of. With Principal Ellise’s dedication, passion and knowledge, we really believe something special is being built here at Paradise HQ, and we can’t wait for you to join us.” - Team Paradise
During our meet up with Ellise and the girls, we got a sense of more than a dance studio. It is clear that the girls, of all ages, at Paradise feel a sense of community and family. They feel safe and can express themselves freely. They are not concerned with other outside influences that can cause anxiety on a daily basis. They are able to come together and connect through dance no matter their ability and feel totally supported by Ellise and their peers. Friendships and bonds are made quickly and easily and this then builds confidence and sense of self worth within the girls.
This, in turn, helps them not just at school but in all aspects of their lives. And this is what we at GymPro hope to build awareness of and help inspire in our youngsters. That sport and fitness and living a healthy lifestyle early can lead to such a difference in our children and on into adulthood. They can then enter into working environments better and be more productive, happy and confident.
If there’s one thing the pandemic has taught us, its the importance of our health. The health of our minds and bodies as well as the health of our society.
